5 Days Samburu/ Olpajeta-Sweetwaters/ Nakuru park
Samburu National Reserve is165kmsq, ranges from 800 to 1230m above the sea level and lies on the banks of Ewaso Nyiro river.It is in this park that George and Joy Adamson raised Elsa the Lioness,in the award winning movie Born Free.Here is also famous Lioness who adopted the Oryx calve.The reserve attracts animals becauseof the Ewaso Nyiro river.Many animal and birds species seen in the northern frontier are are The lions,cheetahs,Leopards,Elephants,oryx, Buffaloes,Hippos,Warthogs,Grevy Zebras, Reticulated Giraffes and over 350 birds species like Marabou storks,Eagles, Hornbills,vultures etc.
Day 1. You are picked from the Airport/Nairobi Hotel,drive north through Semi-Arid scrubland of the Northern Frontier to Samburu national reserve,lunch enroute,afternoon gamedrive,check inn,dinner and overnight at Samburu Sarova lodge/ or any other lodges there.
Day 2. Early gamedrive, breakfast,gamedrive,lunch,gamedrive,dinner and overnight at the lodge in Samburu.
Day 3.Early breakfast and depart for 22,000acre Olpajeta Ranch with magnificent view of Snow capped peaks of Mt.Kenya and the plains has abundance of wildlife including the chimpanzees. check inn, lunch and dinner at Sweetwaters tented camp.
Day 4. Breakfast and depart for Lake Nakuru park,check inn and lunch at Lionhill Sarova/ or any other lodge there. Afternoon gamedrive,here we expect to see the lions, cheetahs, Rhinos, Buffaloes, Flamingoes and many other animal and birds species. The scenery here also is special and beautiful. dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 5. Early gamedrive, breakfast and depart for Nairobi.
